Angelo is blind. His world is a constant challenge of inaccessibility and staying connected. He lives alone in a community that is fraught with physical barriers. The new Seniors Mission at Trinity, during Covid, has created an opportunity for Angelo that bypasses barriers and opens up a new and stimulating social network for him.
“The Seniors in Conversation speaker series on Tuesday mornings has given me insight into the people and resources of Ottawa South in a way that was not available to me, a blind person, before the Pandemic forced the community to go virtual in a way that even I could access,” said Angelo.
It’s all in how we see things.
